Building relationships, growing business

“You can close more business in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get people interested in you.”
—Dale Carnegie

What a good quote for business and for everyday life. Truly, the principle of “thinking beyond yourself” is a key to relationships of any kind. Paul says in Philippians 2:5-7:

“In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.”

Last week, I attended a social media seminar where I learned how to utilize Twitter, Facebook and other online outlets to build my business. I believe that social media offers great potential for companies and organizations. That’s because it’s a free resource that enhances business relationships by providing new outlets for making contact with customers/businesses. It’s that simple. Business is about serving…serving your customers/clients by offering them inspiring ideas, quality work or superior products. And social media could be a great way for your business or organization to achieve that goal.
